The Performance Review of Chris Paul’s Air Jordan CP3.IX ‘Yellow Dragon’

The sneaker looks East for inspiration as the first two colorways, the “Emerald” and “Yellow Dragon,” both feature Chinese flavor. The Chinese character for “family” appears on the design’s outsole, and the “Yellow Dragon” version is meant as a reference the the dragon dance traditionally performed at Chinese New Year celebrations.

Both colorways are said to be Chinese culture inspired, which explains the nicknames of the shoes. The inspiration can be found on the design of the outsole where you will be able to find the Chinese character for “family”. Another thing worth noting is that the “Yellow Dragon” colorway is meant to reference the dragon dance that is traditionally performed at Chinese New Year celebrations.

For design of this Air Jordan CP3.IX ‘Yellow Dragon’ shoes, because I don’t love to wear high-top shoe, compare with the high-top shoes, the low one will be activity and flexible . so I will shoes this one for my basketball shoes, it is suit me very much. It’s definitely a generation.

The “Emerald” colorway comes in a predominantly black upper offset by the emerald hits found on the outsole, lining, speckling on the black midsole and tongue of the shoe. Branding can be found on the tongue and side of the heel. The “Yellow Dragon” colorway comes in a predominantly yellow upper, with yellow also appearing on the lining, speckling on the black midsole and branding. Black hits appear on the midsole, tongue and heel of the shoe. The Jordan CP3.IX in the colorways you see above are set to release in China on October 1st for $130. It has also been mentioned that there will be launch for the “Emerald” pair in North America on Oct. 1, with a global release to follow on Nov. 1.

For traction, Crystal bottom used is great . though it is not easy to keep. the herringbone pattern in the bottom is practical for breakthrough ; and there are nine air cushion in the front which red is an important design . its function like as the TPU in the bottom .

The mesh material looks similar to the CP3.VIII AE, although there are now synthetic leathers used on the CP3.IX. This leather will provide more support on the upper foot near the lacing system. Another feature providing extra stability is the protruding outrigger, which protects you from tipping over during sharp cuts.

The shoes draws parallels betweens Paul’s movement and the dragon dance that celebrates the Chinese New Year. The yellow dragon is also known for it’s intelligence, a descriptor often attributed to Paul’s play.
